Walking along today to stock up on lemsips and other assorted cold and flu remedies it struck me that this is the first properly cold day of winter. My spies tell me its been snowing in Aberdeen and the Borders, which is exactly where I’m supposed to be this weekend but I’ve been attacked by manful. The plan was to go bothying, which for those not in the know, a bothy is a sort of stone house in the middle of no where to give walkers some shelter when their walking for a few days at a time. They also make great places to go with a few friends and a large bag of coal, but, alas, not for me this time. Can you tell I don’t have anybody to moan at?
ach, well….worse things happen at sea
